Darrel passed away on February 19, 2021. He was born September 30, 1927 to Ralph and Wilma Corlett in Butler, MO. He grew up on a farm in Butler and graduated from Butler High School.
Darrel worked for Burroughs Corp for over 30 years and retired from there. He married Dixie Mary Sanders in 1955 and they were married for 54 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dixie, son John, His parents, sister Christine, and his brothers Wesley and Lloyd.
Surviving are his daughter Gail Lane and husband Greg, Nancy Simpson and husband Martin, Theresa McCullough and husband Mark, and brother Edward and his wife Rose.
After retirement Darrel and Dixie spent winters in Harlingen, Texas and made many friends there. They also traveled the USA in their travel trailer and saw 49 states. Darrel was an avid card and pool player. Darrel will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Private services will be held under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with a celebration of life at a later date. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association in memory of Darrel.
