I've missed seeing Darrell at the past few Shrimp Feeds where he served shrimp for many years. Great guy!

Sorry to hear of Darrell's passing. Full transparency, I was intimidated by Darrell when I came to Dayco fresh from Rolla. He was super smart, seemed to be everywhere and often mixing with R&D leadership. Over time I learned he was the nicest guy on campus, always willing to lend a hand or provide guidance on a project or situation. And he had no reservations about speaking the truth, ugly or not. He'd plop down in my office, flash that big grin and start asking me questions. Then he'd feed me information that would propel me forward. He coached and entertained at the same time. I have nothing but fond memories of the man. My condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of Darrell’s passing. He was a good friend, mentor, and one of the best engineers I ever worked with for understanding process problems in production environments. I will never forget him. I will always remember his laugh. Prayers and blessings for his family.
