Darrell Raymond Hogan, 83, of Springfield, Missouri, went home to be with his Savior on April 16, 2024 surrounded by his wife and girls. Darrell was born to Claude and Lena Hogan on September 1, 1940 in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Central High School and married his high school sweetheart, Donna Anne Bruton on July 25, 1959. Darrell worked at Dayco for 46 years, when he retired in 2005. He then began working at Greenlawn Funeral Home as an attendant, where he made many friends who became family. He also enjoyed serving as the music and choir director at Antioch United Methodist Church, where he was a member for almost 24 years. In addition to his work, he enjoyed golfing, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, caring for his lawn, and all things Peanuts, including his hero, Snoopy.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lena Hogan; his sister, Donna Adkins; and his grand-daughter, Kristy Ellis. He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Cheryl Sewell (Denny), Sandee Cline (Larry), and Gayla Conness (Andy); grand-children, Brianna (Josh), Brandon (Alayna), Aaliyah, Tonya, Tracy, Terri and Tina; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Darrell will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with visitation directly before at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
