Dave Lindstrom, age 63 of Nixa, Missouri was greeted in Heaven on August 2, 2026.
Dave was born on November 3, 1962 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to Ruth and Herbert Lindstrom. Dave spent his childhood growing up in Nutley, New Jersey where he graduated from Nutley High School Class of 1980. He was on the Varsity wrestling team and also played football. Following High School, Dave took his first adventure at 19 moving to California and attended Southern California College while volunteering his time at summer camps and coaching wrestling.
Upon his return to New Jersey, he met his wife Kristal in 1983 and their adventures began. They moved to Springfield, Missouri to start their lives together and build a family. They had the common bond of knowing, loving and serving God; and a love for adventure, nature and motorcycles. They enjoyed so many experiences over the years and served faithfully in their local church while building strong friendships. They loved each other deeply and were together 43 years. Dave was a devoted father to their son Daniel and loved him deeply. They shared a special bond and this relationship was a model for Daniel to follow for his children.
Dave had a successful career in warehousing and worked his way up in various roles from warehouseman to Fork Lift Driver to Warehouse Management and eventually ended his career as Inventory Control Manager at Performance Food Group in Springfield, Missouri until retirement.
Dave found joy in many adventures and experiences. From riding motorcycles, working on cars, flying airplanes, lake boating, camping, water skiing and nature hikes; he never was still. He experienced so much and shared these with friends and family. He had a special place in his heart for working on projects and was an expert welder, woodworker, and creator of many things from start to finish. He especially found joy sharing his love of adventure with his wife, son and grandchildren. But also shared his talents and joys with many friends and family. He loved to spend time with anyone who wanted to learn.
Dave was an incredible man of God, faithful follower of Christ, a loving dedicated husband, father and friend. He was an incredible Papa to his four grandchildren. The memories he created with them, the lessons he has taught them, the values he has modeled, and the love he gave them will stay with them for the rest of their lives. He modeled how to live with integrity, how to love God and how to love and serve others. He touched so many lives with his friendship, kindness, faith, example, and the love he showed. His legacy will live on for future generations, and we are all so grateful for him. We will cherish the memories and our lives are better because of him.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Kristal, his son Daniel & wife Jessica, his grandchildren Malachi, Violette, Leo and Roman, sisters Elizabeth Dunn (Niece Karen), Kathy Colligan & husband Jim (Nephews Sean & Jimmy), brother Robert & wife Michele (Niece Jaimee, Nephew Gavin).
