David J. Morelock, 52, left this earth on Friday, May 28th, 2021, for an eternal life with the Lord. Surely he’s enjoying the best fishing holes, the greatest hunting spots, and the most beautiful lakes ever seen. He is survived by his loving wife, Lori (McCall) Morelock; his parents, George and Betty Morelock; and his two brothers, Randy Morelock (wife Bev), and Danny Morelock (wife Carrie); nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Dave had a wonderful childhood, full of laughter and love, and went on to a life filled with all the hobbies he enjoyed so much; fishing in rivers, lakes and the ocean; hunting of all kinds; softball, bowling, kayaking, and more, and his most recent favorite, 3D archery. Dave met Lori in 1997, and they married one year later. They enjoyed traveling and camping with good friends and family, and loved just spending time at home with the special rescue pets that came and went over the years. Dave was a vital member of his Neighborhood Watch group (the “pitbull”), and will be sorely missed around the neighborhood. Dave was a kind and social man who touched everyone he knew in some way, he never met a stranger. His family and friends will always carry him in their hearts, and though he left us much too soon, he will never be forgotten.
A special thank you to his compassionate caregivers at Cox South, Unit 7E, and at Magnolia Square Nursing Facility in his last few months.
A memorial service will be held on June 4th, 2021, at 3:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
