DAVID LEE NELSON
was born May 26,1949 to John T. Nelson and Viva Nell Carney in Brewster, Washington.
David was the second of three brothers, John W. Nelson and Michael Nelson. His parents and older brother, John, preceded him in death.
David went to be with our heavenly Father on January 1, 2022 at 10:55am, at the age of 72, with his wife by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Adina Rodgers Nelson, his sons Thad Nelson and Ben Nelson (Samantha, his wife). The pride and joy of his life were his 6 beautiful granddaughters Bailey, Isabella, Josie, Emma, Everlee and Violet. Their names are tattooed on his arm next to his heart. Also surviving are his sister-in-law Vickie Peck and brother-in-law David Rodgers as well as many precious nieces and nephews.
David attended Monett schools and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked many years at Wilks Lumber in Aurora. He later started his own commercial construction company, Nelson Construction, and some of his handiwork can be seen in many areas of Branson including the Boardwalk at the Branson Landing.
David was a strong willed, independent man and will truly be missed by all. He always had a story to tell if you had time to listen.
HE DID IT HIS WAY!
