David Lynn McNatt, age 58 of Goodson,
MO, was born July 10, 1955, to Leo David and Juanita Frances (Seamster)
McNatt in Urbana, MO. He departed this
life on October 14, 2013. All of his
life was spent in Hickory, Polk, and Greene Counties of Missouri. He lived in Goodson until his death.
Juanita married Don
Wilson in 1961 and Don became a very important person in David’s life. David looked up to Don as a dad and as a
friend.
David and Don had very
good times going fishing and flea marketing together. David was saved as a boy at Sentinel
Missionary Baptist Church. He joined
Lindley Creek Baptist Church in 1988. He
was united in marriage to Mary Catherine (Cathy) Greer on January 25,
1975. They were best friends. They had very good memories together.
David enjoyed
fishing. He went with his father in-law
and had a lot of good times fishing with Bucky and his brother in-law
Gary. David enjoyed deer hunting and
mushroom hunting with Cathy. David spent
several enjoyable hours gardening and growing things.
He was preceded in
death by his father; and his step dad.
Survivors include his wife Cathy McNatt of the home; his mother Juanita
Wilson of Polk, MO; two brothers Dennis McNatt and his wife Darla of Polk, MO,
and Duane McNatt of Kansas City; one sister Debbie Wallen of Fair Play; two
brothers in-law: Gary Greer and his wife Kathryn, and Mike Greer and his wife
Reba all of Goodson, MO; two sisters in-law: Karen Wilson and husband Jerry of
Goodson, MO, and Donna Sikes and her husband David of Humansville, MO; fourteen
nieces and nephews; as well as several
other relatives and friends..
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday,
October 18, 2013, at Pitts Chapel,
Bolivar, MO,
with Bro.’s Jeff Shelenhamer and Jeff DeFreece officiating. Burial will follow at Lindley Creek Cemetery. Visitation
will be held from from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on
Thursday, October 17, 2013, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lindley Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar,
MO.
