He is survived by his son, William; daughter Amelia; three sisters, Mary Ann Wood, Bentonville, Arkansas, Sarah Stecher, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Connie Jarvis, Pierce City, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends. His parents, Maurice and Erna Ray, formerly of Freistatt, Missouri, preceded him in death. David was a graduate of Monett High School in 1964, an SMSU graduate in 1974, and a Vietnam veteran. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home East Chapel, 3540 E. Seminole. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, in Freistatt Trinity Lutheran Church, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Graveside services to follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial service to be held on Wednesday, November 4, at 2 p.m., in Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2852 S. Dayton, Springfield, Missouri.
