With heavy hearts and a spirit of celebration, we announce the passing of David Morris Jones, who departed from this world on June 6, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 5, 1947, in Hamburg, Iowa, David embraced life with a loving spirit and a commitment to his family and community. He was united in marriage to Mary Biggs on November 18, 1972.
David had a love of studying the bible, baseball, football, playing and singing with his guitar, his church family, and Jesus. He was a proud business owner of the Bolivar Color Center, where he dedicated his life to serving his customers. Known for his generous nature and unwavering work ethic, David built lasting relationships that extended beyond the business realm.
David was preceded in death by his parents Emit LaRoy and Betty Lou (Morris) Jones; a son Tom Endrizzi; and a sister Grace Goble.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 ½ years, Mary Jones; his son, James Endrizzi; and his daughter, Sarah Stalker; five grandchildren: John Endrizzi, Alex Endrizzi, Natalie Stalker, Nathan Stalker, and Olivia Stalker; three great grandchildren: twins Karsyn and Korbyn, and Amanita; a brother Lee Jones; his very spoiled cat Sammy; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
David’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He will be remembered not just for his business acumen but for his vibrant personality and the laughter he brought into the lives of those around him.
We invite all who knew and loved David to celebrate his life at a memorial service scheduled for Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Pitts Chapel. Prior to the service, friends and family are encouraged to join us for a memorial visitation beginning at 6:00 PM, where we can share stories, reminisce, and honor the joyous moments spent with David. Following his wishes, David will be cremated. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
In celebrating David’s life, we remember his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared. Though he may have left this earthly realm, his spirit and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
