David Park Mitchell, age 70, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri, With his family by his side. He was born May 1, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Thomas Mitchell and his wife Betty.
He is survived by his Son David Compton, his two children Shyanne and Austin and his great granddaughter Ivy; Step Son:George Compton and his wife Lola and their daughter Kayla; His brother Dale Owens, Brother Dennis Owens and his wife Charlina; Brother Danial Owens and his wife Melanie, Brother Richard Owens and his wife Marsha; Sister Diane Owens, Sister
Thelma Corriveau; Sister Margaret Radtke; Sister Lois Whiteeagle and her husband Jason; and his Sister Linda Genn and her husband Rick.
In addition to the preceding, David is survived by many cousins’ nieces, nephews and friends.
David was preceded in death by his father Thomas Mitchell; Mother Betty Owens; wife Annetta Mitchell; & Sisters Carla, Janet and Karen Sue Mitchell and his four beloved dogs, Snowball, Molly, Bucky and Cinnamon.
David spent his adult life being a dedicated Husband and father to his wife and two Sons.
David learned the value of the dollar early in life and would do, at times, what seemed like, anything to get it. After learning a few lessons the hard way Dad/David decided that maybe working would be the better way to support his family and that’s what he did. No matter where he worked, he always climbed the ladder of advancement quickly. With much success, He worked for Cedar
ridge portable buildings for +/- 20 years. He was regarded as avalued employee buy his boss and peers alike. After Cedar ridge he worked for C.A.B Communications in Nixa Mo. as a communications technician. Once again, David excelled to a position that put him second in charge. Craig Blevins, The owner of C.A.B Communications became like a brother to him. If David
