Dawna Mae Evans Grover, age 74, passed away January 5, 2013 in Mercy Hospital. Dawna was born on January 6, 1938 and was a graduate of Buffalo High School in 1954.
Dawna was the daughter of the late William Evans and Novella (Doyle) Evans. One of Dawna’s favorite memories was playing “Peace In The Valley” for Elvis Presley at the age of 16. She was Worthy Matron (1997) of the Crescent Chapter of the Eastern Star, dual member of the Queen City 226, and organist for several years. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Dawna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wade Evans and sister Annabelle Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marmon W Grover, her daughter Judy Clements (Doug) and sons Bill (Jaima) and Jason Grover, granddaughters Abbey (Dave) Furlong, Olivia and Sophia Grover, her sisters Violet Cline and Marqueta (Ronnie) Simmons.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Greenlawn South. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 pm.
