Dean Preston Alumbaugh, 93, of Springfield, MO, passed away Feb 8, 2012. He was born Jul 8, 1912, in Harwood, MO to Otho and Mary (Oaks) Alumbaugh. Dean married Maxine Williams on Nov 18, 1944. He served in the US Army during WWII and later retired from the IRS. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Maxine. Dean is survived by a son, Dean, Jr., of Springfield.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday, Feb 12, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Monday, Feb 13, 2012, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg, KS. The family wishes to express their gratitude to special caregivers Debbie Patton and Amy Stewart.
