Deidra Leann (Edwards) Lambert, age 58, of Springfield passed away Friday, April 7th at Springfield Villa.
Deidra was born August 17, 1964 in Neosho, MO. She was the daughter of Bob Edwards and Sandra Edwards. She was a graduate of Willard High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University. Deidra’s greatest joy in life was her son, Jeremy. Though disabled much of her life, she enjoyed volunteering as a home room parent during his elementary school years. She enjoyed reading, typing letters on colorful stationary and sending cards. She never missed celebrating a family member’s birthday.
Deidra was a resident at Springfield Villa for the last 14 years. She enjoyed many of the activities including crafts, games and occasional small group outings, especially fishing. Deidra was known for being very organized and punctual. The nurses would say they could set their watches by seeing Deidra heading through the hallways. She was very prideful of her appearance and was known for her love of bright colored clothing and jewelry.
Survivors include son, Jeremy Lambert and wife Rene; mother, Sandra Chandler and husband Gary; one sister, Kerri Marsden and husband Michael; one brother, Steve Edwards and wife Angel; four nieces Kaylee Smith, Tiffany Womack, Allison Singley and Molly Womack; one nephew, Jack Edwards; and a host of family and friends.
Deidra was preceded in death by her father, Bob Edwards and husband, Wendel Ray Lambert.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Patterson Cemetery.
