Delmar Yoakum, 81, Strafford, MO. passed away November 27, 2020, after a long illness. He was born in Dixon, MO. on October 15, 1939, to Lester and Mary (Jones) Yoakum. Delmar was a retired construction contractor He loved spending time with his family and especially helping his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with anything he could. He loved the great outdoors and hunted when he could, especially deer hunting. He also enjoyed wood working and crafts work.
Delmar was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Millie Lawley, his son: Rick Parker, sister: Pauline Stennett, brother: Donald Yoakum, and his great-grandson: Jeremy Kelso Jr.. He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Sharron Yoakum, daughter and her husband: Sherry and Binky Furstenberg, son: Les Yoakum. daughter: and her husband: Tammy and Paul Kelso, nine grandchildren: Bart Parker, Chris Lawley, Keith Phillips, Jeremy Kelso, Kevin Phillips, Brandon Parker, Rachel Kelso, Joshua Hartley, and Sharron Lawley, as well as numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be before services from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
