It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Delores Faye Clementi, who departed this life on July 15, 2025, at the age of 84. Delores was born on June 26, 1941, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and later made her home in the Independence and Kansas City, Missouri, areas, where she thrived as a dedicated business owner in the retail travel industry. She was a devout Catholic and loved her church.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore Clementi, her parents: Hershel Donald “Don” and Alice May (Reed) Moore; a infant daughter; and a sister Vesta Sportsman.
Delores was deeply loved and cherished by her family and friends. She leaves behind her beloved siblings: Donna Moore, Bill Moore (Pam), Sandra Patton, Conita Moore, John Harp, Jr. (Teresa), and Susan Gabriel (Vincent); two stepchildren: Richard and Jenna; as well as many other relatives and friends, who continue to hold her memory close. Delores was known for her warmth, kindness, and indomitable spirit, and she touched the lives of many through her professional and personal endeavors.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:30 PM, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road Leavenworth, KS 66048, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. I’m sorry to hear Dee is no longer with us. I enjoyed getting to know her and Sal. Working with them was enjoyable. It was my honor to know them both. Dee taught me much.
