Deloris Lorene Brich Presley, age 73, went home to be with her heavenly father at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2011. She died peacefully in her home following a long and courageous battle with oral and lung cancer. Deloris was born Dec. 10, 1937 to Paul and Emma Brich in Halfway, Mo, where she attended school and graduated in the class of ’55. She married Norman Gene Presley at Noble Hill Baptist Church on Sept. 15, 1957. She spent most of her life being a devoted wife and mother to her family in Brighton, Mo.
She is survived by her husband Norman, her daughter and granddaughters, Jan, Christie, and Julie Good of Brighton; daughter and son-in-law Pam and Jody Bailey of Springfield; son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Lisa Presley of Ballwin; sister, Doris Meadows of Dowling Park Fl; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Evard Musser of Houston Tx; and sister-in-law Norma Brich of Bolivar. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Dwayne and Cameron Brich.
She will be laid to rest in the Brighton Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July, 8, 2011, with Pastor Tom Schaffer officiating, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to CMH Hospice Care or to the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center, both of Bolivar, Mo.
