Delpha Esther Wilcox, 75, of Springfield, left this life to meet our Lord, Savior and Creator on August 18, 2012. “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” Delpha was born to Esther and Forest McNeely on August 2, 1937, in Stockton, Missouri. She graduated from Senior High School Springfield, and attended Southwest Baptist College. Delpha married James Wilcox on July 15, 1956. She was a member of Hamlin Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband James Wilcox, Jr; two daughters Sherri Grotts (Gordon), Modesto, CA, Kelly Kammert (Mike), Glendora, CA; one son Adam Wilcox, Springfield, MO; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two sisters Carol McCart, Springfield, MO, Betty Richardson (Paul), Smithville, MO; two brothers Bruce McNeely (Eva), Springfield, MO, and Steve McNeely (Tonya), Pleasant Hope, MO; as well as other relatives and friends.
