We met Denny on December 31, 2025. We had no idea how much of an impact he was going to have on our lives. About 12 hours later, my dad, who was in congestive hart failure, called us a little confused and not happy about the situation at the skilled nursing facility. We thought, oh poor dad's roommate. Not a good first impression. Our frist action of the new year was to head to the facility and work on getting my dad comfortable and make peace with Denny. That morning, we had a new friend and someone to care about beyond my dad who was just over a week away from passing. Denny's friendship during the next few days will always be appreciated. While I know it was sometimes rough on him, God obviously brought us this very special man in our lives to help each other. We are truly saddened to hear of his passing and our prayers are with Diann. We shared a lot the past few weeks, and we appreciate that we could be there for each other. Though we only knew Denny for about six weeks, he will always hold a special place in our hearts. Oh, and did I mention he could down a McSalty's pizza like it was nothing!

Diann, I am so sorry to hear about Dennis. As you know, Dennis and I got to be pretty good friends when we ended up working together the last few years we both worked at Kraft! Sometimes, we were good friends, and sometimes we didn’t want to speak! But, we always made up in a few days! lol! My condolences go out to you and the family.(Dennis was a good man at work. He was a gentleman. He was friendly and congenial to talk too, and a good Christian!)
