Diana (Dee) Sallee-Kerbel
June 26 1936 – November 11 2018
On this day, Tuesday November 20th we will gather to celebrate the life of Diana.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East in Springfield from 2:00 PM to 3 PM and short graveside service to follow.
Leaving a vast legacy of joy, dear friends and family Diana passed peacefully in her home. Lovingly known as “Dee Dee” she touched many lives and she will be greatly missed but her bright light will shine on.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Pauline Sallee.
Dee is survived by her three children: Douglas Pearce, Drew Pearce, and Darren Pearce and wife Lori; her four grandchildren: Jeremy Pearce, Savannah Pearce, Nathan Pearce, and Danielle Pearce and her great grandchild, Harvey Pearce; her brother, Gene Sallee and wife Becki; her cousins Bill Curry, Carolyn Hunt and Sallee Webb also survive.
She loved her kids and grandkids above all and she was our favorite cheerleader whether it be soccer games, music gigs, or pet sitting her support was total, unconditional, and always a joy. An avid gardener, she loved experimenting with her garden and spoiling her two precious dogs. She loved music, particularly Elton John and recently fulfilled her dream of seeing him perform.
A graduate of Central High School and Mid America Business School, she enjoyed working at developing two successful small businesses and also enjoying her time working as Assistant to the Dean at SMSU theatre department and as a supervisor at Disney.
Thank you for your condolences, love, kindness and support in celebrating her life
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of the Ozarks, C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue or the Aplastic Anemia Foundation.
