Diana Lynn Whitman, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 3, 2026. Diana attended Halfway School and graduated in 1965. After graduating she went on to become a cosmetologist for several years. Diana went on to work in manufacturing and retired from GE as a machine operator. Although she was unable to attend church, she never lost her faith. She was saved at an early age and remained a member of Van Missionary Baptist Church. Diana is leaving behind three daughters: Lynette, Ruth, and Diana. A brother, David Eagon and his wife Chris. Four grandchildren: Brittany, Tiffany, Billie Jo, and Shane. Nine great grandchildren: Aiden, Lynie, Justina, Vanessa, LJ, Sophie, Maya, Trenton, and Jayce. A niece, Charity: and three nephews, Davy, Jim, and Jay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Eagon, and her brother Dennis Eagon.
Visitation will be held at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, MO on June 8, 2026 at 5-7pm. There will be a Graveside Service on June 9, 2026 at 10 am at Schofield Cemetery.
