Sylvia Diane Earls Long, who was called Diane by her friends and family, was born on the 14th day of November 1953, the first beloved daughter born to Edward Wade and Eva Mae (Ruble) Earls in the town of Ironton, Missouri,
Diane is the beloved granddaughter of William Pendleton and Sallie Lee (Montgomery) Earls and John Henry and Ora (Smith) Ruble, and the beloved sister of Joyce Elaine Earls, and the beloved mother of Rachel and Lesley.
On the 18th of November 1971 Diane was united in marriage to Paul Allen Long in Springfield, Missouri and to this union was born two daughters, Rachel Dawn and Lesley Denise, Diane’s daughters were her life, and she cherished being a mother to them.
Diane loved to laugh she enjoyed having fun with her family she was always the high light at family get togethers with her laughter and warming sense of humor. she was a lover of animals and all animals loved her, she was a lover of children, she was always playing with the children be it her daughters or others and the children always enjoy the well put smiles she would put on their faces. Diane had a big loving heart and the children and animals could always tell and appreciate that.
Diane filled all our lives with joy and laughter, she will always be with us in our hearts. Diane departed this life on the 14th of December 2012, in Springfield Missouri.
Diane was a wonderful sister; being the oldest, she was always taking care of and looking out her baby sister Joyce as well as countless others. Joyce preceded Diane in Death on the 14th of October 2007.
Diane was a loving daughter always there to help her mom and dad in life and even the family business, Diane’s mother Eva preceded Diane in Death on the 6th of November 2007.
Diane leaves to mourn her father Wade and his wife Wanda Earls, her daughters Rachel and son in-law Steve Vaughn, and Lesley and son in law Adam Wells and a host of Uncles ,Aunts, Cousins and friends.
Diane’s good will and unending love will continue to accompany us all throughout our lives. we will carry her laughter and thoughts in our hearts and minds each and every day.
when we take the time to make a child smile we will think of Diane, every time we reach down to pet a dog we will think of Diane, she has not left us, she will always be with us.
There is no death only a change of worlds.
Services for Diane will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East with burial to follow in Graceland Cemetery in Conway, Missouri at 12:30 P.M.
Visitation will be from 6:00 To 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2012 in the funeral home.
