Dolores Marian Lueck, 90, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023.  Dolores was born in Freedom, Missouri on January 26, 1933 to Otto H. and Wilhelmina A. (Lottmann) Sander.  Dolores graduated from Linn High School in Linn, Missouri in 1951.

Dolores grew up in Osage County Missouri helping her parents on the family farm.  She attended a one-room school house, Pilgrim Lutheran in Freedom, from second to seventh grade.

After graduation, Dolores moved to St. Louis, Missouri and worked at an insurance company.  She enjoyed working in downtown St. Louis where she rode a streetcar to work.  During this time Dolores met her future husband.

Oliver H. Lueck and Dolores M. Sander married on May 19, 1956 in St. Louis.  After the birth of their daughter Linda, Dolores devoted her life to caring for her family.  As a military spouse of a Senior Master Sergeant in the Missouri Air National Guard, she embraced that service.

In 2000, Dolores and Oliver moved to Springfield to be closer to family.  She especially enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Oliver H. Lueck and her parents Otto H. and Minnie A. Sander.

She is survived by her daughter Linda S. Lucy and her husband Dan, grandson Scott Lucy and his wife Emily, great-grand children Reagan and Davis all of Springfield.  She’s also survived by her sister-in-law Eunice Kohler and niece Sandra Fulton both of St. Louis.

A celebration of life will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East Friday, June 9th at 12:30 p.m. with burial to follow at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
