Dolores Marie Pennington, of Springfield, Mo. passed away on August 8, 2013. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on May 7, 1925 to William and Mable McHale. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Park; her sisters Betty, Muriel and Audrey; and her twin brother John.
Dolores is survived by four daughters, Jo Ellen (Mike) McMasters, Jane (Patrick) Blamey, Lynne (Gary) Gruebbeling, Ann (Roger) Henderson and her sons Steven (Christine), Paul (Terri), ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Dolores was a active member of Immaculate Conception Church, a long time volunteer at Cox South Hospital, and delivered books to the homebound for the library district. Dolores enjoyed traveling with her children, and was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed driving fast, and lived life to its fullest. She will be sorely missed by friends and family, and remembered often.
Visitation for Dolores will be Sunday, 4-6 pm, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be held at the National Cemetery, Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 am.
