Don I. Latimer passed away August 3, 2013. He was born to Fred and Ila Latimer in Mansfield, Missouri, on February 16, 1920.
Don married Dorothy Joliff in 1939 and two children were born. He married Frances Kinnamon Shaw in 1952 and three children were born. Don was a WWII veteran, serving in the South Pacific; he retired from Campbell “66” Express; and was a faithful member of Boulevard Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy; his second wife, Frances; an infant daughter, Donnas; an infant son, Don; daughter, Christine; great-granddaughter, Allison; a brother, Leasel; and sisters, Geneva and Margie. Don is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cloeta and Dean, Pat and Richard; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Evelyn, Norman and Kay, Charles and Kathy; and son-in-law and his wife, Jim and Gloria; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; one brother Dale Latimer, and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with military honors. Burial will be in the Mansfield No. 5 Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the No. 5 Cemetery fund.
