Donald Chase Bradford of Buffalo, Missouri, born April 1, 1925 to Henry Ford and Inez Chase Bradford in Cardin, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, November 14 at the home near Buffalo, Missouri.
Don spent his early childhood years in Kansas City, Missouri. As a teenager he moved to South Missouri where he worked his way through high school at Bolivar and Pleasant Hope. He was baptized during that period and was of the Christian faith. He worked for many years in Springfield and retired from Zenith Corp. Throughout his adult life he was also a farmer and cattle producer as owner of D&R Angus Ranch until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marguerite Slagle, son-in-law Larry Gaunt, and one great-grandchild.
Don was married to Ruby Jackson on October 23, 1945 recently celebrating over 65 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; sons, Don Bradford Jr. and special friend Mary James of Elkland; Tom Bradford, Buffalo; Olin Bradford and wife Renee of Elkland; daughters, Barbara Gaunt of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Gayla Anderson and husband Larry of Buffalo; 13 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 16 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home in Springfield with funeral services 11:00 am Wednesday, November 17 at Harmony Baptist Church located on B Highway between Conway and Long Lane in Dallas County.
