Ginelle Esry left a message on May 13, 2021:
I am heartbroken to hear of Don's passing. He was such a kind man with a great love of music. I am very thankful for the opportunites he gave me to sing on the Luttrell Country Music Show since I was 15 years old. Don always requested a Pasty song. He encouraged so many singers and musicians by giving us a stage to showcase our music and a place for others to enjoy listening. Thank you Don for all the memories. Prayers for the Luttrell family. My deepest sympathies, Ginelle Esry
