Donald Harold Grubaugh 90, Mt. Vernon, MO. passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in the Lawrence County Manor, in Mt. Vernon, MO. Donald was born on April 4, 1933, in Wellfleet, Nebraska, in Lincoln county, to Benjamin and Martha (McKellips) Grubaugh. Donald was a retired horse farmer and a United States Navy veteran.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and by the love of his life, Norma Jane (Turman) Grubaugh, who passed away in November 2023. He was also preceded in death by other members of his family: Chester and Nellie (Grubaugh) Griffiths, Isidore “Ike” and Anna (Grubaugh) Steck, Henry and Nadine (Ransom) Grubaugh, Robert “Bob” and Dolly (Grubaugh) Wood, Mathew and Lou Rene (Maples) Grubaugh, Wayne and Eloise (Lane) Grubaugh, Benjamin Jr. and Peggy B. (Stovall) Grubaugh, Earl Dale and Christine (Carr) Grubaugh, Josephine “Jo” (Gray) Grubaugh, Michael Scott Stoutenburgh (1962-2006), (Adopted son).  He is survived by his step-daughter: Carol Shaddox, from the state of California, and by his two brothers: William Lee Grubaugh, from Steelville, MO. and Bernard “Bernie” Grubaugh, from Willard, MO. as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

No services are planned at this time. The cremated remains will be buried at a later date in the family cemetery, near Miller, MO.
