Kevin Cawley left a message on May 3, 2021:
I'm so sorry to hear of Don's passing. I had the privilege of being Don and Mae's Pastor for 9 years at Christ United Methodist Church. He was a faithful and loyal church member to the end. Don was the only church member who came to me personally at the time the church was deciding to close. Don always had an outgoing personality and he was so reliable. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Rest in Heaven, sweet brother of the Lord.

Amy Turner left a message on May 1, 2021:
I credit Don with helping to make my son (Kevin Turner) the man he is today through his coaching of Kevin's baseball team. He was always a kind and gentle person who was not afraid to talk about his love for the Lord and all around him. Thank you Don, and rest in peace.

May all the wonderful memories that you and your family and friends share together bring you comfort during this time of sorrow. My memories of Don go way back to Ozark bowl as just a kid watching he and my dad, Don Patterson, bowl for so many years together. We continued seeing Don throughout all these years at the different bowling lanes in Springfield. Don was a great bowler and good friend. Our prayers and live are with you.
