Donald P. “Donnie” Cornelison, 62, of Springfield, passed away at his home Monday evening surrounded by his family after a 2 year battle with cancer.
Donnie was preceded in death by his mother Jaunita Myers; his grandparents Donald and Marie Banks, Pansey Cornelison and Marvin Cornelison, his brother Randy Cornelison and a niece Rachel Cornelison.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Connie, 2 daughters Tawnya Clark and husband Roy, Heather Dodson and husband John, 4 grandsons, Devon, Austin, Trevor and Wesley and 1 great grandson Aiden. Donnie is also survived by his father Denzil Cornelison and his wife Darlene, his aunt Flo “Dodie” Kelley his brother David Cornelison and his wife Elana, a sister Cindy Larson and husband Glen; mother-in-law Irnetta Wilkerson, 2 sisters-in-law Patti Rogers and husband Sherman and Joni Steeley and husband David and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Services for Donnie will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with burial following at Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home.
