Donald Ray Gray, age 82 of Springfield, passed away June 5, 2013. He was born on March 9, 1931 to Roy and Ava Gray in Bois D’Arc. He was united in marriage to Patsy Ann Gray in October of 1954.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Patsy; son, James E. Gray; his parents; brothers, Conrad, Gerald, Dale, Ernie, Everett Carl and Dewey Lee; sister, Pauline Scroggins; and one grandchild.
He is survived by his children, Mary and Bobby Pope, Frances and Fred Peck, Lonnie and Tricia Gray, Valinda and Earl Light, and Rex and Cindy Gray; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Van Gray and Virginia Gibson; sister-in-law, Shirley Bolin and husband Leon.
He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a very loving and giving father, grandfather, brother and son. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy and he gave them the greatest gift-his time and devotion.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
