Donald Ray Self, 77, Pleasant Hope, Mo. passed away Saturday, in St. Louis, Mo. Mo. He was born in Pleasant Hope, Mo. on June 17, 1941, to Jesse and Susie (Perryman) Self. A life-long area resident , Don was a retired millworks and window salesman, for Southern Supply Company. He loved Model A cars, and restored his own over the years. He was a member of the Southwest Missouri Model A Club, for many years and he was also a member of the Heartland Cruisers. Don trusted in Christ as his Lord and Savior and went home to his heavenly home.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna Sue Self, a daughter, Melissa Ann Cozad, a brother, John Adams, and a son-in-law: Steve Cozad. He is survived by his son Tracy Self and his wife Gina, a step-son: Michael Stokes, four grandchildren: Travis Cozad and his wife Crystal, Morgan Self, Laney Self, and Tristan Self, and two great-grandchildren: Blake Cozad and Boone Cozad, and one sister, Robbi Pool, Bolivar, Mo.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 , in Pleasant Hope cemetery, Pleasant Hope, Mo. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
