Donald Ray Waggoner, age 79, of Buffalo, MO, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 in his home. He was born February 25, 1934, in Spencer, IA, to John and Ruby (Gloyd) Waggoner. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. Don worked for many years as a butcher, retiring in 1999. Don was of the Baptist faith. He was united in marriage to Jesse Ann Cole in December of 1953, she preceded him in death in 1998. On August 2, 2000, Don was united in marriage to Ramona Medcalf. Don enjoyed fishing, planting flowers, hunting for arrowheads, wood carving, and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jesse Ann Waggoner; his parents, John and Ruby Waggoner; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Ramona Waggoner of Buffalo, MO
four children,Don Ray Waggoner, Jr., Springfield, MO, Marilyn Ann White, Nixa, MO, Karen Sue Grey, Nixa, MO, and Michael Alan Waggoner, State of , FL; four step-children, Loraine Redd, Halfway, MO, Sandra Sue Allen, Lebanon, MO, Cheryl Brown, Buffalo, MO, and Lee Medcalf, Buffalo, MO; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, with full military honors, Pastor Alan Reeves will be officiating.
