Donald Robert Brandt 74, Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Cox Medical Center South. He was born on June 21, 1947, in Long Branch, New Jersey, to Robert and Claire (LeFavre) Brandt. He was a 1965 graduate of Monmouth Regional High School. He was a United States Army veteran, and was a retired truck driver with Queen City Air Freight Company. He loved boating and was a member of the Ham Radio Club. On July 27, 1991 Donald was united in marriage to Mary Flis, at Ocean Township, New Jersey.
Donald was preceded in death by Robert his parents, Robert and Claire Brandt, his grand daughter: Emma Josephine Sparks, and his brother-in-law: Robert Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sheila (Flis) Brandt, his son and his wife, Michael & Donna Brandt, Myrtle Beach, daughter: Denise Brandt Badalamenti, New Jersey, his step-children: Toni Reed and her husband, Will, Webster, KY. Michelle Sparks and her husband, Doug, seven grandchildren: Nicholas and Alexa Brandt; Anthony Badalamenti Jr., Connor Reed; Tyler Bigley, and James and Allison Sparks., his sister: Eileen Murphey. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and their spouses: Scott anad Vickie Jeffrey, Kelly and Craig Gorczyca, and Heather and Kevin Orabone.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. The family suggests inlieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Shriners, or to the American Cancer Society.
