Donald Theodore Flood, known as Ted, redhead, flash foot, and Tedsy, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2022. He resided with his wife Bonnie in Springfield Missouri.
Ted was born on December 14, 1951 in LaJunta Colorado. His deceased parents are Shirley Barnum and Donald Flood. Also his deceased children, David William Flood and Charity Cann Flood Carcel. His living siblings are Cheryll Wingard, Carolyn Maes, Bob Flood, and Chris Leman. Ted and Bonnie were married on September 25, 1976 in Raton, New Mexico. They were married for 45 years. Bonnie said that Ted was an awesome husband, gentle, loving and caring man. He was a mighty man of God.
Ted had hobbies and liked to fish and go four wheeling in the mountains in Colorado. He joined the Navy and became a radio man on a submarine. Sometime later in life, after giving his heart to the Lord, he became a pastor and ran a school. His pastors heart was for people, but especially kids. His love for the Lord was strong and he wanted others to know the love of God also. Ted had a passion for lost souls and he prayed for people everywhere. In 2002, he came up with the idea of making a couple of prayer tables with a large banner over the top which stated,” Prayer”. Ted and Bonnie‘s heart was to see people come to Christ and setting up the prayer tables was a more comfortable way for people to do that. He became a Behavioral Analyst Specialist for the Springfield Airport in 2011. Over the last seven years of Ted’s life he became disabled. Ted would continue to tell others about Christ and love people. He would tell them that his sickness was not really who he was, but who he was inside was Gods love flowing through him.
◦ Survived by his wife Bonnie.
◦ Grandchildren: Donovan Flood, Dalton Flood, Aaliyah Flood, Christopher Shumake and Justin Todisco.
◦ And Bentley, ted’s therapy dog that helped him through his hard times.
