Donna Jean Oberbeck Childress, 70 passed away at her home in Independence, Mo. on April 20th 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born Oct. 9th 1942 in Conway Mo, she was the daughter of the late Owen Oberbeck and Lodema Clark. Donna married Lowell F. Childress in 1960. They had a wonderful life together before Lowell’s passing in 2000. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters. She loved her family and friends and they loved her; she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Donna was the oldest of 10 girls. She is survived by three children Cindy Bicknell, Annette Henderson (Richard) and Lowell Kevin Childress (Julie), eight grandchildren, sister-in-law Bernice McCutchen (Mitch), seven sisters and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East Springfield, Mo.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment will be in Rondo, Cemetery.
