Donna Sue Pollock-Blankenship of Springfield went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 4, 2013. She was born on June 4, 1940, to Billy Gene “Shorty” Pollock and Delores Woods Pollock.
In 1978 she owned “Creations by Donna” in Willard, MO; in 1983 she worked for Ozark Wholesale as a route sales person driving her “Flower Power” truck through Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas. In 1990, she began her career for Wal-Mart as a floral manager and eventually became a member of the lawn /garden team for the Kansas Expressway Store for 22 years and retired in October of 2012. Her long term companion was her dog “Bobby”.
Donna is preceded in death by her brothers Billy Gene & J.O. Pollock, her sister Gena Lou Pollock Horton, step-sister Mary Lou Duby Blacka. She is survived by her 3 daughters – LaDonna (Marty) Young, Melinda Rosa & Carolyn (David) Wilson. Her grandchildren, Marcy (Ian) Watson, Mark (Melissa) Young, Jessica, Jacob & Joseph Rosa, Joshua & Jarrod Tracy; Great grandchildren: Aiden Watson, Max, Maddison & Megan Young, a brother in law Dale Horton, step-brother Norman Duby, step-sister Melba Duby Taylor, as well as a host of nieces, nephews & friends.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 8 2013 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Hospice Compassus
