It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donnie Wayne Green, who departed this life on October 31, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on April 29, 1941, in Rogers, Arkansas, to Leon and Lucille Green, Donnie spent his life dedicated to his family and community. Don was also a graduate of Monett High School.
A proud veteran, Donnie served his country in the Army, embodying the values of honor and duty throughout his life. After his service, Don had a few jobs before he embarked on a successful career with Southwestern Bell, where he contributed his skills and dedication for many years before retiring. His work ethic and commitment set an example for those around him. He also volunteered for years at Empower: Abilities and Crosslines.
Donnie was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Paula Green, with whom he shared over 31 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they cultivated a loving home filled with laughter and support. He was an amazing father to his sons; Mike, Don and James Green, instilling in them the importance of family values and hard work.
Donnie was also a member of National Heights Baptist Church, where he found community and fellowship. His kindness and warm spirit touched the lives of many, earning him the respect and friendship of all who knew him.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife Paula, his 3 sons: Don (Carthena), James (Richelle), and Mike (Renee), 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great- Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, his parent-in-laws Gary and Janice Mitchell, sister-in-law Cheryl (Jason) Fletcher, brother-in-law Carroll Poage, and many friends and extended family that will truly miss him.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lucille Green, his brother Leroy Green, sister Shirley Poage, sister-in-law Shirley Green, and grandson Riley Green.
Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate a life well-lived, filled with compassion, service, and dedication to those he loved on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with a visitation starting at 5:00 pm and his Funeral service beginning at 6:00 pm.
As we remember Donnie Wayne Green, we are grateful for his contributions to our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. He will be missed deeply but always held close in our memories.
