Doris Ann Davis, 85, Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, after a long illness. She was born in Shackleford, MO. on March 12, 1937, to George and Minnie (Gaddy) Warden. She finished her education at the O.T.C. G.E.D. program. On December 31, 1952, Doris was united in marriage to Leonard Dean Davis. Doris had worked for the Zenith plant here in Springfield, retiring after 30 years, when the plant closed. She also had worked for Litton Industries and retired in March of 2012. In her spare time, Doris liked to crochet and make dolls.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents: George and Minnie Warden, her husband, Leonard D. Davis, her daughter: Joni Lee Bilyeu, and her two sons: Jimmy Dean Davis, and Johnny Duane Davis. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Dawn Davis, and her daughter-in-law: Teresa Davis, six grandchildren: Brandy Stoops, Mike Bilyeu, Joshua Davis, Amber Davis, Brittany Yates, and Brandon Davis, four great-grandchildren: Brianna Stoops, Zane Stoops, Lucille Yates, and Henry Davis, her cousin: Ada Nowlin, and her close friends: Kathy Burke and Mary Lane.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour before services, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
