Doris F. Wright, 94, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Monday, November 11, 2013. Doris was born on March 5, 1919 in Springfield, Missouri to Asa and Clara Long. She graduated from Springfield Senior High. She was united in marriage to Ray Wright in 1944, in Springfield, Missouri. Doris was a homemaker, she was a member of College Street Baptist Church.Doris loved flowers and the Atlanta Braves.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Don Wright; and two brothers, Stanley and Charles Long.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Rogers and husband John; her grandchildren, Lori Wheelis and husband Lance and Travis Rogers; one great-grandchild, Kara Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North. A special thanks to Strafford Care Center and Hospice for their care and compassion.
