Doris June Adams, 62, of Springfield, Mo., was born Feb. 3, 1949 in Willow Springs, Mo., and passed away May 6, 2011 in St. Johns Hospital with her family by her side.
She attended Willow Springs School She was united in marriage to Floyd E. Adams on Aug. 21, 1964. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. She enjoyed volunteering for OACAC Headstart by making art for them in her home. She also enjoyed fishing, sewing, puzzle books, puzzles, spending time with her family and watching Sci Fi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; two sisters; one brother; in-laws; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children, Sharon and Danny, Willard, Floyd Jr. and Starr, Springfield, Nancy and Clint, Springfield, Dale and Billie, Marshfield, and April and Scott, Springfield; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; and sister, Cathy and Wayne, of Willow Springs; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be Monday, May 9, 2011 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
God broke the mold when he made our mom. She lived her life to the fullest. Her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed.
