Doris Frauenhofer, 85, passed away on Monday July 13, 2026. Doris was born in Torrington Connecticut where she met and married her soulmate Robert Frauenhofer with whom she enjoyed over 50 years of happiness and adventure.
Doris stayed busy as a switch board operator in California early in life before working in various boutiques later in her career. When not working she would enjoy visiting, shopping and dining with friends. Religion was very dear to Doris as she would attend church every Sunday to worship with her church family. Another important part of her life was her membership in T.O.P.S. club. Doris achieved many awards throughout the years as a T.O.P.S. club member. Doris loved to travel, loved her family and of course loved Elvis! From her trip to Graceland to the impersonator shows in Branson, she was an Elvis fan!
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Rob. She is survived by her sons Steven and Scott. The family would like to thank St Croix Hospice for taking exceptional care of Doris, going above and beyond to give her the very best quality of life that she deserved!
Doris will be cremated. Her ashes mixed with her husband Rob and scattered over her favorite bay from her favorite bridge in her favorite city…
