Dorothy M. Mace Clemens, 84, of Springfield, Missouri, was born on May 15, 1928, in Niangua, Missouri, to John and Hattie (Johnston) Mace. She went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2013, after a short illness.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom Clemens; son, Greg Clemens; granddaughter, Melissa Hardt; three sisters, Oval, Hazel, and Maxine; and two brothers, Edward and Donald. Survivors include one daughter, Deb Coffman; and six sons: David Hardt, Ron Hardt, Tom Clemens, Don Clemens, Rick Clemens, and Patrick Clemens; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Dorothy was a faithful Christian, wife, and mother, and retired from many years of service in the medical field. She was a member of Dale Street Baptist Church, and a loving mother who labored her entire life for her family, never complaining, but always thankful. Mom will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held between 6 and 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield; funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Dale Street Baptist Church, 1311 East Valley Water Mill Road, Springfield; and Interment will be at Amity Cemetery near Amity Freewill Baptist Church, 2737 Amity Road, Niangua, Missouri. Pastor Leland Burch will be officiating the services.
