Dorothy Irene Kistner Dorothy Irene Kistner, age 88, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010, in her home. She was born March 3, 1922, in Fairbury, Neb., to the late Charles and Frieda (Wilson) Wehrli. She is survived by her two sons, Harold (Gene) Kistner and friend Susie of Cape Fair, Mo., Jim Kistner and his wife Sharon of Springfield; one daughter, Marie Rudler of Olathe, Kan.; one sister, Wanda Waddoups of Prescott, Ariz.; her grandchildren, Melissa, Eric, Jana, Sharla, Kimberly, Sherri, Krysti, Beth, and Brad; her great-grandchildren, Dezerah, Jarad, Autumn, Shilo, Jasmine, Justice, and Brittany. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Boyd; one brother, Raymond; and four sisters, Bonnie, Neva, Charlene, and Joan. Dorothy was a dealer for Stanley Products when the family lived near Caulfield, Mo. The family moved to Springfield in 1952. Dorothy then worked for the Springfield Garment factory for several years and then for Lily Tulip for several more years. Upon leaving Lily Tulip, Dorothy became a real estate agent and continued as a part time real estate agent after getting a job for Montgomery Ward. Dorothy worked for Montgomery Ward in the jewelry department until the store closed.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery in Pleasant Hope with Chaplain Bob Elders officiating.
