Dorothy Jean Keller, 68, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Magnolia Square. She was born Tuesday, November 7, 1944, in Conway , Missouri , to Carl David and Elizabeth (Burk) McElwain.
Dorothy married Rev. Charles E. Keller and together they made their home in Springfield. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Dorothy treasured her dogs, who were like kids to her.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Carl David McElwain and Elizabeth Corintha (Burk) McElwain; her husband, Charles Keller; four brothers, Fred, Sam, Lee, John Franklin McElwain; two sisters, Mary Ellen Stockdale and Alice Clark; and great-grandson, Tyler Moen. Dorothy is survived by her son, James Mayberry; granddaughters, Elizabeth Kelly and her fiancé, Jasen O’Brien and Catherine Moen and her husband, Keith; four great-grandchildren, Michael Kelly, Madison Kelly, Trever Moen, and Mackenzie O’Brien, all of Iowa; a sister, Dora Adams; and a brother, Clarence McElwain.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Vaughn Weatherford officiating.
