Dorothy J. Clements, age 93, of Springfield, Mo., died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Creekside at Elfindale. Dorothy was born May 7, 1919 in Chicago, the daughter of Stephen and Stella Lipinski.
She was a receptionist at the Chicago Daily News and later became a full-time homemaker. She was a member of the I.C. Bridge Club and enjoyed travel. She liked painting, dancing, games, and listening to music. She especially loved children.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Irwin B. Lengeling, KIA World War II; and Stanley C. Clements; a brother, four sisters, a son Steven Clements and son-in-law William Henne. She is survived by daughter Darlene Henne of Springfield; daughter Marcy Blackwelder and her husband Ted of Glenview, IL; son Brian Clements and his wife Patti of Oswego, IL; and daughter Laurie Lukas and her husband Wes of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Creekside, 1601 S. Fort. Dorothy will be remembered at 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at St. Agnes Cathedral with cremation and burial at a later date.
