Dee Dee was raised in Kansas City MO and was baptized at Jackson Avenue Christian Church when she was young.
Dorothy married Daniel J Tripp September 20, 1947.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Jim Shields, a sister, Leta Masten, and a sister, Sandy Mills.
Survivors include a son Ron, wife Missy and daughter Anna; Springfield, MO, a sister Kathy (Doyle)Stubbs; Springfield, MO, additional family include Butch and Barbara Thornton, Millie and JohnTrester, Jim and Peggy Elliott, Frances and Clyde Branstetter, and Kim and Troy Thomas. Dorothy was blessed to have many other special cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Services will be at Harvest Assembly of God Church, Fair Play, MO, at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013. Visitation will be at 1:00 to service time. Dee Dee will be laid to rest at Alder Cemetery, Stockton, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pitts Chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Homes in Bolivar, Missouri.
