Dorothy Mae Watson passed away August 19, 2019, in her home after a long illness. She was born June 7, 1924, in Burge Hospital, Springfield, Mo. She was the daughter of Augusta and Millard Smith. She lived in Springfield all her life. She graduated Senior High School in 1941, and was employed at the Assemblies of God headquarters. She married Marion Watson, November 11, 1945. They had three sons, Marion Mark, Brent Ayers, both of St. Louis and Kirk David of Springfield.
Dorothy and Marion had been married 61 years when Marion passed away in 2006.
Surviving her are Mark and his wife Joann, Brent and his wife Debbie, Kirk and his wife Tammy, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be one hour before services, from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
