Dorothy May
(Vest) Clary, age 77 of Wheatland, MO, passed away May 18, 2013, in her
home. She was born November 3, 1935, in
Iola, KS, to John and Ruth (Smith) Vest, and grew up in the Neosho Falls, KS, area. She was united in marriage to Elmer Edward Clary
February 19, 1972, in Belton, MO, and lived there for 15 years. She worked for Avon for 18 years before
retiring.
She is preceded in death by her
parents; step father Silas; step mother Ester; brothers: Bill, Robert, George,
Johnny, and Brady Vest; sisters: Mary
Tate; step daughter Pamela Gaston; granddaughter Michel Campbell; half sisters:
Betty Rice, and Joan.
She is survived by her husband of 42
years Elmer of the home; one daughter Laura Farmer and husband Lavern of Louisburg,
MO; three step children: Kenneth Clary of Wheatland, MO, Buddy Clary and wife
Joan of Gladstone, MO, and Tami Shirey and husband Paul of McLouth, KS; 14
grandchildren, and 10 step-grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 32 great
great grandchildren; half sisters: Becky Scobee, Ruth Ann Shaw of Madison, KS,
and Lucille Nelson of Salem, MO; a half brother John Vest of KS; as well as
numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral
services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Pitts Chapel. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
