Dorothy Pauline Brooke, age 77, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Springfield Rehabilitation. She was born March 28, 1934, in Sweden, MO, to Garland and Lula (Walker) Dye. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Jerry Brooke, and a sister Virginia Watkins.
She is survived by her husband Stanley C. Brooke; two daughters:
Ava Hamm and her husband Ron, and Tammi Waterman and her husband Bruce all of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren: Amy Harr, Amanda Arle, Sarah Brooke, Jeremy Brooke, Andrea Elliott, and Jessica Penrose; seven great grandchildren and one on the way; two brothers: Jerry Dye and his wife Jane, and Donnal Dye and his wife Janet all of Ozark, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Hope Dale Cemetery, Ozark, MO with Chaplain Glyn Davies officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Memorial contributions may be made to the HPC Hospice of Springfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO.
