The words describing Dustin’s love for his family, tough exterior, and treating his friends like family captured his essence perfectly. I had been meaning to call him the past couple of months but never did, and will regret that decision as long as I live. Dustin filled a void I didn’t know I had. It was a privileged watching him grow from a little boy into a fine young man. We shared lots of laughs and deep discussions about life. In our many talks I repeatedly told him i was really proud of him. A person’s life is filled with many acquaintances, fewer friends, and the most rare are true friends. A true friend is one that if you really need them they will drop what they are doing and help in any way possible. I am proud to call Dustin a true friend and my life is better because of him. Shane

To the Mantle Family, Dustin was the first in the Mantle family I met while working at Westport Elementary. Knowing him led me to others in the family who each blessed my life while I worked in education. Dustin was full of life and always had a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed. Hugs to each of you. So sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
